Alzheimers - A new TREATment approach
If given a choice of prescriptions - say between chocolate and Xanac - which would YOU prefer?
Giving a child pretty much everything they want whenever they want is obviously not a good thing - but - when one is old & suffering from Alzheimers/Dimentia perhaps it IS! If you know someone who has Alzheimers/Dimentia, below is a link to a must read. I wish I had read something to this effect when my mom was still alive as it offers a new/different/thoughtful & creative approach to treatment - one with more personal freedom & dignity at the heart of it as opposed to more conventional treatments that too often boil down to... captivity, if you ask me.

My mom suffered for many years with this horrible disease. A nightmare for everyone.
Hi troutbirder. I'm so sorry. My mom suffered from it too & i thought this article was worth at least the time it takes to read...as it defines a new/different (clever, thoughtful, compassionate, creative) approach to dealing with it that seems to offer a better quality of life for the patient than more traditional "therapy" (drugs & restraints) - & to some degree may even ease the burden on the caregivers as well.
