In the New Testament, it's a Greek word formed from two others - "Tapeinos" (low to the ground) and "Phren" (our hearts/minds). Put all of that together and humility means bowing our hearts to God.

A. My response here is more of a reaction - as I want to shout "Yes! DO IT! Now."
Tho' it is definitely the road less traveled, choosing to humble oneself is definitely the best way to go. The longer one puts it off, the more likely they are to BE humbled... & that's not a pleasant road to travel. For one thing, one doesn't move very fast when they're essentially one with the road because they've been brought practically parallel to it (aka real. low. down.)
You know you are "here" when the only way to look ... is up!
You know you've been there, done that when you submit to Him - to His way & to His will - & when He lifts you up, you don't feel quite like your old self anymore. For one thing (among perhaps many others), where there was pride, there is now ... humility.
