wings of refuge

May you be richly rewarded by the LORD,
the God of Israel,
under whose wings you have come to take refuge.

How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!
People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.

Surely he will save you
from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.

How beautiful and what a picture to illustrate God's promises! I didn't realize Swans did that. I know Loons do...well, the babies ride up on the back of the parent. Wow!
